Copywriting
Throughout my career, I’ve written in many voices and told many stories. I’ve channeled all kinds of characters, everything from a trusted older sister figure to a “quirky old Dutchman” (actual client description of a brand voice).
Most recently, in my work at Deeplocal, I am responsible for all copy you will see on deeplocal.com, gumband.com, all @deeplocal social media channels, and any printed or digital collateral from the brand. I also do a lot of writing I can’t share–client pitches, B2B presentations, ghostwriting, signage and brand collateral, you name it.
In my past, I’ve been the copywriter for Victoria’s Secret live event content (including Snapchat and Instagram Stories as well as social feeds), all Bonobos social media channels, and the Community Manager for the Dove and Diageo portfolios at VaynerMedia. Both Victoria’s Secret and Bonobos were going through rebranding campaigns at the time I worked there, and I was trusted with bringing those voices to life in an authentic, unfiltered way. At Vayner, my work on Dove in particular demonstrated the importance of 1-1 audience engagement, authenticity, and thoughtfulness in online writing.
In my personal life, I am a former English major and English teacher who has written content for Communication Arts, Made in PGH, my personal blog, and more. An abridged version of my graduate thesis on empathy development was also published on the ERIC database for educators.
