While my roles have always been strategic in nature, as I became more and more specialized in social content creation, I was able to exercise some of my creative talents as well.
In my current role, I am responsible for the documentation of all of Deeplocal’s projects, which are tangible interactive experiences that exist in the physical world. Sometimes that means I’m producing high-fi video and photo shoots (view an example of that here); sometimes it means I’m sending mobile art direction with the install team, or asking for favors from a client or partner. No matter what, I get it done so that we have beautiful visuals for everything we create.
At Victoria’s Secret, I served as the content strategy lead for branded events, including supermodel press days, experiential marketing activations, the #TrainLikeAnAngel series, and Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. I worked on site with event photographers to craft and curate real time content for all digital channels: social media, app, email, and website. From the creation of the shot list, to the lighting and styling of each shot, to the selection and retouching process, I art directed all event content from 2017-2018.
At Bonobos, I concepted, budgeted, produced, and art directed all social media photo shoots. I sometimes even styled props and wardrobe, took photos, and set up back drops and lighting. I also coordinated and managed models (whether professional or just Matthew from Marketing), creative talent, and studio staff on monthly shoots.
At VaynerMedia, I sat on a different side of the camera, often modeling for social media content created for my Diageo Clients. This experience was invaluable in seeing how a shoot all comes together to create the one perfect moment.
